If your service intervals are 10,000km/ 6mnths, and you change both filters at the oil change, then The semi synth should be fine , I would however revert back to your chosen oil at the next service. Penrite is a good quality oil in any case.

Just had the deefer serviced and asked for Penrite HPR 5 Diesel to be used as that's what I've been using all along.
Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding they used semi-synthetic HPR5 5W-40. The Penrite site says mainly for petrol engines, may be used in diesels, but thay recommend HPR5 Diesel .. of course.
So ..... should I get them to change, or will it be OK til next service. I have no beef with the crowd that did the work, on the contrary they're usually top notch.
Am I being anal and a worry wort ??

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Agree with JC, don't sweat it.
The oil you have in the engine is an API CF/ACEA B4 oil so easily meets the TD5 spec.
Most people just run Castrol Edge, Mobil 1, etc and those oils work OK, the HPR 5 is an equivalent oil.
Yeah as said dont sweat it. I have used it before when HPR5 Diesel was not available. A lot of the other oils people are using are not specific for turbo diesels anyway.
