SVX center console - Whats under the box?

G'day all. I was wondering if anyone has had the console out yet?
Reading through the manual KarlB lead us too, it looks to me as if the stereo amplifier is mounted under the center console. Can anyone confirm or deny this? You may well wonder why I just don’t go out to the garage and have a look myself. Stuck at work.
I was thinking of ordering a Mulgo 'Ex-box' and some other bits and pieces to be there when I get home, not much point if these an amp in the road.

 Cheers
 Craig

You are correct. It is a great big Clarion amplifier.
Had my console off to have switches fitted. Was always told the SVX has an amplifier, but not having a working radio never really believed it.

Yep, as stated there is an AMP.

I have the Mulgo ex-Box installed. Love it.

Daniel removed the electrics under the drivers seat to the ex-box so now higher up out of harms way (think water or mud).

It raises the cubby box up higher which now makes it an excellent arm rest when driving and actually makes changing gears easier as I rest my arm on the top of the cubby box and use my wrist to change the gears!

It does not interfer with gear selection of 2nd, 4th, or 6th.

I can thoroughly recommend this product by Mulgo.
