    Michelin Latitude Tour HP

    Hi everyone,

After a bit of research, I decided to replace the oem FL2 tyres with Michelin Latitude Tour HP. They are 235/60/18.

Went to a tyre shop, been told they need 6 weeks to order and $395 each.
When I ask is the $395 including balance and alignment, the guy said I should go to place who do trucks and 4wd to do such service. Normal tyres shop not able to do a good job for 4wd. Was that true? Any recommend for tyres shop in Sydney? Thanks!!

    cheers,
    bc

Any reasonable tyre shop should be able to fit & balance a 4wd tyre.

I would be making a couple more phone calls to other suppliers.

FWIW - I have had tyre work (balances, new tyres etc) done at places like Bridgestone, K-Mart, Bob Jane etc, and none of them have even raised an eyebrow.

All places would have to be able to balance a tyre to a rim they are fitting.

Alignment is another matter, a few tyre places I've come across can't do a wheel alignment on a 4x4 if both axles have adjustment beyond the basics.

Ring around as many tyre places you can, and you'll find many will price match or beat your best quotes anyway.

Have you tried Jax Quick Fit? I bought 5 Michelins for $265 each, fitted and balanced, off them yesterday afternoon and will have them fitted tomorrow.

I've previously used Bob Janes for wheel balances and they have been very good.
