It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Where do you suggest moving the battery to?
I think that's the question.
Behind the cab, under the tray. This will allow easy access for jump starting, give room for two large batteries to sit side by side and allow you to use your underseat storage for items you need but seldom use (spare parts).
Why move the battery - just add am Anderson Plug to the side of the box (or anywhere else) and add another to one end of your jumper leads. Coolest and quickest (and safest) jumping solution x far...

hi gav ,,,,,, sounds the way 2 go ..... going down to try and jump it tomorrow ,,,, looks like it b easier 2 pull seat out to start it this time .. once home will b able to crawl all over it and work out how to set it up for practical touring ...... been reading heaps of posts ,,,,, great site and plenty of imfo
Another alternative is to fit some jumper points at the front or side of your battery box such as in the following photo:
These were fitted by Gordon at Opposite Lock South Sydney when he installed my second battery and controller. The battery box also houses the relay for my winch. The jumper points are useful not only for jump starting but also for powering portable air compressors and the like. Certainly much easier than opening the seat box every time you want to air your tires up.

Caterpillar buddy plugs and leads are the neatest and best solution. Virtually standard equipment on most mine sites in Australia whether using Caterpillar equipment or not.

After a long day yesterday running wires everywhere i now have dual batteries and a jumper outlet (aswell as wires everywhere else for cd, uhf, lights, poweroutlets).
Have ran some heavy cables to the engine bay and put a anderson plug on the end. got my jumper leads and put an anderson plug on one end aswell. problem sorted.
unless someone want to borrow my leads.
