well I know all the last of the series rovers the army had, had fold down windscreens because I had to fold them down to put them up into a caribou
....what the last series of Land Rover was that had a fold down front screen?
Year, model, variation, etc.
A friend of mine has asked, not sure why!
Couldn't think of a better place to ask than the AULRO forums!
Cheers,

As far as I know, current model Military Defender.
In Australia, I don't think soft top Landrovers have been sold since Series 3 (and not many of them) except for the Australian military 110s, but despite having hard tops or cabs, windscreen hinges were retained at least up to 1987 on all 110s, not sure when they stopped.

The last series vehicle was the series 3 (stage 1) but fold down windscreens did continue on to the 110 and I think some earlier versions of the defender.

The large windscreen hinge which provided the ability to fold the screen was retained until the early Defenders - 1991/92ish, it was dropped at around the time Defenders got rear discs as standard. Military models continue to use it if needed.
