    D3 Revs surging TDV6

My TDV6 has this thing it does and I wonder if anyone else has had the problem.

At low revs 1500-2000 especially in 1st or 2nd gear and take foot off the accelerator, it continues to hold the revs for about 3-4 seconds before slowing to idle. I had the 24k service last week and the dealer was aware of issue and said the software updates should fix it. It's still there. I have yet to go back to LR about it.
A few weeks ago when up in the high country, taking off in 1st gear low range down any steep incline she wanted to lurch down until the revs slowed to idle. A little disconcerting but I am aware of it so was prepared but still it catches you out now and again. On the road, especially in traffic and going around roundabouts, it is very noticeable.
I will contact the dealer agin regarding this, not too much of a worry for me but it doesn't feel right. Any thoughts?
    Cheers Neil.

Only had my D3 about 1 week, no sign of this behaviour.

I recall reading that revs surging like that could be related to an auto gearbox problem. How many KM on odometer? It might need an ATF change?

Just had the 24k service, so still a baby. I reported this at the time and the LR dealer mentioned that the software upgrade should fix it.....but no luck, I'll be taking it back to get another look over. It's not too bad if you are aware of it, but still can catch you out in slow traffic.

This happened to me about 3 times a year ago. The car suddenly started to surge forward forcing me to brake. I took it to Trivett land rover in Sydney. They said they could not find anything wrong. They told me the computer read out recorded that on three occasions I applied the brake at the same time as the accelerator and this was not advised. No **** Sherlock! What was I supposed to do stomp on the accelerator.

I wouldn't let those guys work on my lawnmower. The problem seemed to fix itself as it hasn't happened for over a year.

Mine is constantly doing this so I don't know what it could be. But it only happens between 1500 & 2000 RPM and in the lower 1st-2nd gear (well that's where it's noticeable).
