    What tyres claw or not

    Hi all,
Well at last the time has come to get some new tyres, I had planned on getting big claws. But we have had over the past fews had two children. So I dont play in the mud that much any more, mostly beach a few times a year. The guy at the tyre place said they are not good on the road in the wet and the wife drives the fendy so my muddies are not looking the right option.

So my question is what tyres should i get. i would like something that looks pretty cool and is good in the wet, any pictures of tyers would be good even if they are your dream tyres, the rims are standard defender rims from 20001. Price will also be a factor. Should i be getting a wider or higher tyre as well.

    Thanks heaps guys.

I'm happy with Mickey Thompson Bajas, for an all rounder, but I'm not sure how they'll go on your futuristic rims.

Excellent tyre Ian... They really are great in 90% of everything.

FatCat - You'll be limited to a max of either 265-75-16 (32s) or 255-85-16 (33.3") on the factory rims...

Dont be tempted to go 285-75-16 (33s) on a 7" rim, its dangerous and illegal.

If you go 265-75-16 then its same dia as 235-85-16s (stock)

Otherwise the 255-85-16 is a fantastic tyre size on a fender...
Look at KM2 from BFG or Maxxis... Personally the KM2 would handle nice in rain and dry.. sand and mud..
