we couldn't have asked for a better day, beautiful, sunny and hardly any wind.
The ho har's in Zara and Numpty in Leon headed out on the motorway towards Colleges Crossing when we were joined by a nice Stage 1...then promptly was passed by it...it seems Sam hasn't got a grasp yet of the nice steady, if not slow, driving us series drivers do
Pete and Sam were waiting patiently for us at the Crossing, then we were joined by the cheshire cat, ohh sorry Scallops and Kat in matilda, CC and clan, weeds and Wendy, Outlaw and Masayo, Guyg, solmanic and Cathrine and extreme.
Mrs hh cooking lunch for the boys
After lunch we managed to get most of the cars together for some photos
Ho Har thoroughly enjoyed his day though his actual birthday is tommorrow
Thankyou all for comming

Happy Birthday Harry, for tomorrow- we enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate this momentous event with you today. How appropriate that we were able to make our Maiden voyage in Matilda, our beautiful Series 1, which you put so much work into, helping me get her to where she is today, on this special occasion
We had a lovely afternoon - and it was good to see some dear friends that we don't see enough of. Here are some of my piccies....
The Birthday Boy arrived in Style.....
Numpty's ride - A true classic - a 1958 (that's really a 1957!) 88 inch Series 1 - a real Land Rover!
The "Top Brass" inspects another classic - my 1956 86 inch Series 1....
Hey - it's Matilda's first ever outing - so excuse me...
Sorry - these pics are just going to be heavily Series 1 focused - cos S1's rule....
Ummm - yep - this one is of Sam's Stage 1....
OK, OK - a line up piccy - let's face it - all Land Rovers rock!...
The Colonel arrived wired for sound...
Sam's lovely Stage 1 - fuel pig par excellence!
Back to the Series 1's for a mo.... I think they like each other...
Great day out - can't wait for All British - bring it on...
Another Birthday Harry - the sun sets...
But remember - Birthdays are great - but too many will kill ya!![]()
Best Wishes, Big Fella - it's a privilege to have you as a friend.![]()

Great day out in good company.
Leon was beside himself, having finally met and sat next to Matilda. And doesn't he look a real boy alongside her cleanliness. But he's a '57 Dan
Love the Stage 1 Trayback Sam.

Lovely day and happy birthday for tomorrow Harry. We needed a good outing like that.
Also I notice the newer Defenders were conveniently banished to the back of the car park out of sight.
The Coleman Clan enjoyed our day out immensly. We also have one very tired puppy.
It was good to see some faces we haven't seen in a while and it was a big relief to every landyphile in Australia that Matilda has made her maiden voyage and passed with flying colours.I even got a ride
All the best for tomorrow Harry. We also better have another run soon.

Happy birthday Harry, hope you had a good day.
I towed the series trailer to Byron and back so was in the series spirit for the day. Anyone see me wave and flash both ways on the Ipswich motor way![]()
Great day out, nice to see everyone again and meet more Land Rover addicts. It certainly inspires me to do more than just keep the battery charged in my series 2a. Sam your v-8 stage 1 sounded absoulutley excellent driving up the hill when you left. I hope that you don't waste it by idling behind the series Land Rovers.
