    Wheel studs

I have a set of D3 18' rims to put on my camper trailer. I have the hubs with the correct size PCD (5x4.75"/120mm). I know the wheel studs are 14x1.5 but where can I get them???? Does anyone know a supplier?

I don't want to sound patronising....but a Landrover dealer might be a good place to start. There's sure to be cheaper places and I'm sure a member here will tell you where to look.

Land Rover will only sell me the complete hub. I have electric brakes on the camper and need to use those hubs.
    thanx

I bought a couple of spare studs from my local dealer just recently.....I love my car but I do find the dealerships to be a bit "hit and miss" as to what they do and don't do...quirky to say the least !!!

I understand that D2 studs are the same and they are, or at least were, available as a spare part. They are 14mm x 1.5.

I used D2 studs on a trailer 3 years ago and they worked fine. What didn't work quite so well was the fact that the offset (I get confused about what is +ve/-ve) of the wheel meant that the inside of the tyres rubbed on the trailer. This was on an unbraked trailer so I put on a set of wornout D3 brake disks to be (legally?) a set of spacers for the trailer.

So if you went in for a set of wiper blades will they only sell them to you if you buy a windscreen as well.....what an odd way to run a business

How about this one... I had a rock hit one of my LR driving lights. LR don't sell the lens as a spare part for the D3. They do however sell a spare part for the RR - which is exactly the same shape/size/part as the one in the D3. However, you have to buy it yourself as a spare part and install yourself - as dealerships are ignorant. They instead want to sell you a whole new set of lights (at about $800).

And they wonder why people get on the net and buy parts from overseas.....my RAI is flying home to me tucked under my nephews arm as we speak....at a saving of approx $500 on what I can get it here for !!!!! - of course I am lucky that he was flying home on leave but even if I paid regular freight I'd still be ahead by about $200.....
