    Disabling Td4-EGR-valve

    Hi chaps,
anyone here who can advise me about the easiest way to effectively disable the EGR-valve on a Td4-engine? Don't like all the goo in the IC...
    Thanks and cheers

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

The easiest way it to disconnect the solinoid that operates it. it sit under the intake manifold, just follow the vacuum hoses from throttle body. It will bring up a fault but wont bring on engine check light.
the best way is to make a plate up and block EGR pipe work. best spot for that is the pipe from EGR cooler to throttle body, You will have to put it on the cooler side as throttle body side had a tapered seal.

Its been a while since Ive seen a L series, But from memory the EGR plums into the alloy pipe that runs over the rocker cover. It connects the intake manifold to the intercooler hose. Unbolt off there and make a blanking plate to go inline.
