Fitted Iron man a few years ago...not happy....in the process of ordering OME gear to get me a better ride.
Talk about leaving things till the last minute! I decided to fit the old poly air springs to the 130 even though it has H.D King single springs since I'm heading off to (weather permitting) Hay river on Friday 17/9. Checked the Bilsteins and noticed one has a dead band near top of travel.
Just interested to know what folks are using and who's happy with their choice?

Hi i have twin bilsteins all round on my 130 big cab tray back with camper on works well for me ,just done the csr, anne beadell and the simpson on the french line
Wow 8 Bilsteins, that's got to work, not that the budget would be happy to stretch to singles for me though.
If you had allowed yourself a week for delivery, you could have bought 8 Bilsteins from USA for the same price as 4 in Australia.

Oh well, just bought 2 for the price of 4 in Australia. Made a big difference though.
I just put a set of EFS Elite on the back of mine but only just done around 1000klm on them.
So at the moment better then what we had before.
Looked at Bilsteins but was way above the budget we had, as we just bought a new alternator and had the gear box resealed.
Two new Bilsteins just set me back $500, I've tried cheaper ones with the heroic names before but they never seem to last. They're the newer model ones, longer travel, especially for a 130, from MR Automotive.
Oh by the way, ericpicc, love your REME Rover, I had one of them in the '90's also with a trailer.
I have LTR's all round. I'm happy with them but then they were already fitted when I bought it so I didn't have to fork out the huge amount of $$$ for them.
I just ordered new suspension for my 130...2" lift dobinson's springs, Bilsteins to suit and poly air bags for rear... They are on the delivery truck now....Tomorrow is going to be a big day on the tools for me.
I have always used Bilsteins.
What's the model number of your "Longer" Bilsteins?
Cheers
Andrew
