Fuel tanks the same between 110's and 130's?

    Hi all

Are fuel tanks the same between Defenders? (200/300 tdi 110, 130 models).

I have tracked down a 2nd hand long range tank from a 110, but I want to make sure it will fit in my 130 HCPU before I buy it.

    Cheers

I have a 110 with a standard tank and a 130 with a long range tank so I can't compare standard to standard, but I can measure the space tonight if you like.

tdi I'm not sure. I think there may have been some minor capacity differences in some brands, but should all mount up the same.

My Td5 130 has a 127l longranger 110 tank in it I bought for $400 from British Offroad several years ago. Came complete with swaybar spacers and fitted no probs.

    Thanks for the replies

I currently have a standard tank, but am looking at buying a 2nd hand long range tank of unknown make that came out of a 1996 110.

Just want to make sure it will fit my 1998 130 before I part with the coin.

    Cheers

I am 99.9% sure that they are the same.
I bought a new tank for my 130 twin cab and it looked identical to a 110 one in every way.
Just be sure the 2nd one is the same fuel type as yours and I think you'll be just fine.

ring a supplier and get them to give you the part numbers for two tanks for the vehicles you aretrying to compare. Or just ask them straight up what you want to know.

I measured both my '94 110 and '95 130 last night and they are the same.

The gap between the main chassis rails is 630mm and the distance between the mounting bolts for the tank front to rear is also about 630mm.

We fitted a long range tank from a tdi 130 single cab into Offender90's 120 (which is a stretched 110) - so I suppose that is a yes. TD5 and later have an in-tank pump though.
