    Defender electrics

    Well ive never had much luck with defender electrics But this problem has got me beat I keep poping left hand parker fuse an the one that does horn along with a few others , they seem to go 2getha, when the ute is parked its sometimes thier not shorting i replace the fuse's all is ok , but then i got for a drive an i hear em pop

    ive pulled the dash out looked for rubbed threw wires , checked the wires all under the tray under the bonnet all seams good , i have noticed thier quite a alot of wires running in the chassis i was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of these wires rubbing threw inside of the chassis im not sure were else to look

    any advice please guys

    check the trailer plug and rear loom.

    Or maybe in behind the washer and other stuff on the left hand front guard under the bonnet. There does seem to be a wear point in there somewhere with similar symptoms.

    Just last week I noticed some wear on the part of the loom that runs over the top of the heater box to the front left guard (so heater/fan, horn, left front indicators/parkers/headlight), from the bolts that hold the top of the heater box to the firewall.

    It's a long shot, but easily inspected.
