Puma Rear Drawers and Child Restraint

I am looking at rear drawers for the Puma for future camping trips. I have considered the Dolium ones (there are two options)

I am just wondering if others could give advice particularly those who might have experience with drawers and child restraints.

I have a single child restraint attachment point in the middle which is on the floor and I will need to use it on the camping trips at least in the near future. Dolium think the attachment will not impede the function of the drawers but I will not be able to connect the child seat. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Also, any input from other members with 7 seat Pumas fitting drawers after removing the 3rd row would be appreciated.

    G'day,

If you send me a PM as a reminder end of next week I will send you some photos of a drawer system I am currently having made by 4x4 components.

There are 2 options for child rest. bolts in a defender, I went the horizontal bar that runs about 4in. behind your back seat fixed just below the cargo area window. My 02 td5 did not need the A frame to raise the bar but I have seen a few fitted with this so that the bar height is raised to be "legal" and not let the straps rest on the seats to much. My reasoning was 2 fold as we have now 4 kids and if I had the L shaped post in the back it would impede on cargo area as well as act as a spike to any passengers in the rear. Have a good look in this thread and you will find answers and photos. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/good-oil/5...-creb-bar.html

If you are seriously into camping you may want to check out the DRIFTA 4WD combo with the pull out kitchen - you get a large drawer and a full pull out kitchen ! Very clever.

I am about to order their DPOR - the full pull out kitchen with return - for my 109 camper trailer conversion as I have more space.
