    My New D4

    Hi Everyone

I picked up my new D4 on wednesday after a 4 month wait - Fuji White, 2.7, Leather Seats, tinted windows and stainless steel side bars. After having a D4D Hilux for the last 5 years, the transition to the disco has been nothing short of amazing.. i now understand the permagrin.

This forum also helped me make the decision over getting a prado...so thanks everyone!

    Hey Camskii,
    Congratulations.

All i can say is read the manual. There is a fair bit of info in it. But be also aware that it is written for world wide publication, so not all functions are appliable to your particular vehicle.

    Enjoy.

p.s. nice color....Albeit mine is Alaska, yours is a lot brighter

    Hi Camskii,

Congrats on the D4. I've just clocked up 10,000km on mine and I'm still grinning.

Enjoy and welcome to the LR D4 club.

    Thumbs up

    Congrats Camskii,
I just picked up mine last week, but haven't posted cause I haven't taken a picture yet - too busy driving.
    Mine's an SE in Fuji.
I love the look of yours with the dark tint and the SS side rails.
I'm getting mine tinted in the next week or so, but think think I may have to opt for side steps as it would make it a bit easier for my 2 1/2 year old to climb in.

PS I now understand the permagrin too!

    Hi Camski,

All the best with your D4.

I'm to collect the exact same vehicle as yours in a few weeks - only difference being the E-Diff option.

One day in the future all the Perth D4 owners will have to have a drive day - that would be a sight and an opportunity to share a few tales.

G'day all you happy D4 new owners. I test drove a 3.0 SE yesterday and was absolutely wrapped with it and the sales guy was very helpful. Incidentally, I then went to the local Toyota dealer to have a look at the LC (just to say I'd done it because I'm now convinced the D4 is the way to go for pulling the 3.5 tonne caravan I'm buying) and the response to my question as to why I should buy a LC over a D4 was that there are more dealers around (5 between here and Adelaide I'm told). Great reason!!! They couldn't give me a test drive or even a brochure.

Can't get the D4 for a few months but am finding it hard to wait.

    Cheers, Andrew
