Hi Guys
I have done a search but I can't find the right terms to narrow the search enough to find what I want.
Some time ago (and I'm sure it was in this forum) there was talk about a treatment you could put through the fuel tank (when empty) to coat the inside and prevent rusting..
and from memory the stuff that a few people talked about was red in colour and could be bought on ebay.
Does anyone know what it was?
I dont think I have rust in the tank just would like to treat it for a preventative measure

RedKote.
You buy it as a powder, then buy a can of acetone from an auto shop/hardware to mix it up with......
or if you're local, you can pick it up pre-mixed.

It's the one I used in my tank.
I used some stuff from International paints. Can't remember what it's called but can find out.
It's a two pot epoxy system which is used mainly on large fuel tanks more so in the Aviation business. From personal experience this product lasts for years. But one down fall is the seven day curing time and also the odor " it Stinks really bad!!!!"
But it was FOC

The KBS Coatings product is cheaper than POR15, although they're identical for all practical purposes.
Highly recommended, see Cleaning up the fuel tank.
