step one: perfect a trade over 30 years
step two: identify all tools needed, organize
step three: build an awesome tool chest right before you retire so it can hang in a museum....
amazing craftsmanship!!!

Very impressive. I have an old bit and brace but it looks nothing like the one in that kit !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I got a large picture of this tool chest and had it framed.....in 1992
he was also a stone mason...the chest is pretty much priceless....the stanley #1 plane that the guy removed to show is worth 1-2k US$ ....the owner traded a 1934 ford roadster for it from his brother .....hehe good deal
i really should set a challenge for my dad to build one to suit his collection..... wont be anywhere near as small though....
That is absolutely high end art and superb imagination, not just craftmanship. Just think how long designing and drawing it must have taken before the construction started. I wonder how many test pieces were got through.

Do you reckon Bunnings has em?
Whilst not in the class of Mr. Studley's masterpiece, these are still made. Have a look at Gerstner Tool Chests
I have a small Gerstner bought at a Public Trustee auction and in need of total restoration.

I remember reading that it was given to the Smithsonian Institute but it seems it's now in private hands.
