Hi all,
I’m a newbie to this forum having just sold an extensively modified Jeep JK Wrangler.
I’ve now crossed from the dark side and have just taken delivery of a MY2011 Fuji White LR4 J
What a machine, I’m extremely impressed with the refinement and performance, unlike any other car I’ve owned – awesome!
Over the next couple of weeks I’m planning to turn it into a tasty tourer/weekend warrior with some nice mods – bar work will come later next year when all of the options are available to look at
The Disco LR4 as ordered:
- MY2011 Fuji White D4 2.7
- 7 Seat leather pack
- Rear Air-conditioning
- Xenon with adaptive Bi-Xenon
- E-Diff
Mods starting next week:
- 265/70/17 Goodyear MTR’s (new Kevlers)
- Performance BB6 17x8 wheels (in black)
- Safari Snorkel
- Traxide Dual Battery controller
- Redarc Electronic brake controller
- Tinted windows
- GME UHF
I’ve attached a few pictures of my LR4 in the “now” state and will update the thread with new pics as the mods progress J

Hi Phil ... welcome to the forum ... nice D4 !!!!
Thanks guys - new wheels and tyres to be fitted Tuesday.
Then for it's maiden off-road voyage with hopefully little to no scrubbing!
Just for a bit of history, attached is a pic of the previous ride....hopefully it'll signal what is to come(well maybe not quite - the missus would kill me!)
Nice vehicle & upcoming mod list. Sounds similar to mine.
You are probably aware of this already so I'm stating the obvious...the MTR tyres will be 40mm greater in overall diameter than factory standard & therefore illegal in NSW.
I notice that your Jeep had the Pirhana HID driving lights with Euro beam reflectors fitted. What was your opinion of them?
I've got a pair of unbranded knock-offs (same factory without the Pirhana branding) arriving this week. Just hope I haven't made a mistake!
The HID lights on the Jeep were from China although sold through a US company. They were about $600 and for the money pretty good
I've attached some poor quality images of the new wheels and tyres - better ones to come once I've got rid of the awful white writing on the MTR's! Thanks for the advice about the tyres too btw...
Can't you have the tyres fitted the other way around on the rims? I had Coopers fitted to my D2 with the white writing on the inside, they also sprayed paint onto the writing so it's not so noticeable when seen from a low angle/ under the vehicle.
What Randrover said.
I had the Maxxis Bighorns fitted with white lettering to the inside.
Can't turn the new MTRs around due to the tread pattern.
MY21.5 L405 D350 Vogue SE with 19s. Produce LLAMS for LR/RR, Jeep GC/Dodge Ram
VK2HFG and APRS W1 digi, RTK base station using LoRa
Are the MTRs directional then? The ones I had a few years ago weren't.
