    What was your first car?

I think it would be interesting to see where your motoring adventures started out - so what was your first car?
Was it a Landy or did you not get your hands on a Land Rover until later in life?

My first car - a used '94 Mitsubishi Magna. Sarcastically referred to as 'Prestige'...If you think a Landy leaks oil, you've never driven a Magna
I was a student and had little money, don't judge me

An LJ Torana, 1300cc, manual. Cost me $1300, ran for a week and the engine blew. Dad came to the rescue with another $1300 loan for the repairs. After that the only real issue was the gear stick literally coming up, out of the box when selecting reverse. Reverse required a pull up but the allow screw cap that held the stick in was had it.

    I hated that car.

    Land Rover - 80"
Followed by Land Rover - 86"
Followed by Land Rover - 88"
Followed by Land Rover - 109"
Followed by Land Rover - 109" SW
then I also had a brand new Sigma (which I gave away to my sisteri-in-law after 12 months)
followed by a brand new Subaru 1800 4WD 2 range (which I drove round Australia and traded in on a Range Rover after less than 12 months Subaru ownership)

Followed by a Range Rover - 2 door (see above) and sold the Land Rover SW
Followed by a Range Rover - 4 door
    added a Land Rover - 80"
Added another Land Rover - 80"
    Added another Land Rover - 110" F/C
    Added another Land Rover - 110" F/C
Added another Range Rover - 4 door
Added another Land Rover - 109" FFR
    Added a Mk3 International GS
    Added another Land Rover - 110" F/C
Added another Land Rover - 109" FFW

So since 1972 I have not been without at least 1 Land Rover manufactured vehicle.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I got my license in the Army driving a series IIa lwb gs. Drove lots of other things, but the IIa was my favourite, especially at the wash point.....high pressure hose inside and out...Gamlin....hose again...done.
First car I owned was a Ford Escort 1300 1973...loved that car.

1979 HZ Kingswood sedan. It was a sky coloured light blue with a white roof. It was big and roomy with a front bench seat which had the folding arm rest in the middle (gosh I loved that) and that horrible vinyl covering which was horrible in the summer.

Most importantly the boot could fit a few eskies and a double swag.
