    TDV6 Header tank

Has anyone changed the header tank for the radiator on a TDV6?
was wondering if there is much involved in it, as mine has droped the
sensor to the bottom of the tank and keeps coming up with
LOW COOLANT fault. Dealer said the only way to fix it was a new tank.

I'm sure the headlight needs to come out then the tank can be replaced. It can't be too hard as book time is just under 1/2 hr.

Not that it's a common fault though.

Very common fault. Float ball takes on water and sinks. Mine was replaced under warranty no problems with new one.

Changed the tank today took about 20 minutes and $77. for the new tank
Headlight does not hve to come out, pull power steering bottle off just slides up,
unclip neck of washer bottle, undo the top hose undo two bolts that hold the tank
on and lift up to get at the bottom hose and the sensor. The sensor has a wire
spring clip on it that slides down before you can pull the plug apart.
