    Clutch Sensor - TD5

    Hi all,

Clutch has conveniently just failed just before Christmas traveling. No pedal resistance. No fluid leaking from rubber boot. No leaking from slave. Fluid level at correct level. Minor slipping recently and spigot bearing noise. 150,000km.

I am going to change the MC myself probably with trailer brake master cylinder as has been discussed many times.

    Some questions:

    1. Do I/can I remove the adapter (triunion?) and fit to the new cylinder? Its the thing that the clutch sensor plugs into and also where the pipe is connected. I was at Repco and the Trailer MC ($50, 3/4" bore) does not have this adapter.

    2. If yes for above does it unscrew or just pull off?

    3. Do I re-use the current push-rod? The Repco one didnt seem to come with push-rod, but I must admit I didnt look carefully.

I think I will also replace slave at the same time.

    Thanks

    Kelly

    yes to all.

unclip the electrics and remove the sensor, save the 2 brass washers that provide the sealing to it.

then remove and replace as required..

you will need to move the expansion tank to make access a little easier and once the hyd lines are off some people find it easier to change it by pulling the pedal tower but with the right tools and dexterity factor it can be done without pulling the tower.

if in doubt, pull the tower. other than that the rave reveals all
