    Compressor replacement

    Hi

Look like compressor needs replacing as every time I get in the car within a couple of minutes a fault comes up saying that I can only have standard suspension height. Fault diagnosis was that it needs replacing

Have been quoted about $1,200 - is this reasonable or has anyone had one done cheaper (based in Perth).

    Cheers
    Darren

If you're going to do the job yourself, I suggest you do 2 things first:
    1. fit a new delivery valve kit if one is available for your particular version of the compressor as they're very inexpensive and therefore worth a try,
    2. discard a significant portion of the contents of the dryer and if this fixes it then get a new dryer. The dryers can clog with age.

I had mine replaced recently - a little over $800 if I recall correctly. Shop around.
