    Not what you'd take off-road, no.

    But for it's designed purpose (tow truck?), I think it looks ok.

    the bar might not stop roos but it would be good to make your own tracks the rest is for recovering broken toymotas that tried to follow you

    Interesting.
    If it wasn't for the winch fairlead protruding, the massive bumper, which is presumably also a counterweight, would have been useful for pushing broken down cars out of harms way, like we have on freeways down here.
    The rear body appears to greatly restrict suspension uptravel, and unless rear suspension is hydraulically or pneumatically adjustable, it's going to be fairly rigid, so as offroad ability is not going to be this vehicles strong suit, the side steps and poor approach and departure angles are entirely appropriate.
    One would hope there would be a Salisbury under the back.

    Beggers the question 0- why bother basing such a thing on a Defender rather than a more suitable vehicle like a Isuzu truck or somehthing ?
