Is this a good LPG system?
As a followup to the Need more towing power badly thread, I inspected my LPG system on my 96 4.6 V8.

Is this system any good?
It seems to me that it maybe too restrictive in air flow. Would updating to the system Bee Utee has suggested be beneficial?

Practical demonstration ...
Go to the kitchen sink
Install the sink plug
Fill sink with water
Water doesn't drain ... This is your system
Remove sink plug
Water drains ... This is the gas ring method that has been suggested
Cheers

You have an Impco 425 mixer. It's strong point is good top end performance. Can reduce low end torque by 30% on some V8's I have seen these on. I fitted a couple of second hand ones purchased from wreckers yards, basically not exciting.
My system has excellent low end torque, good mid-range and a limited amount of power above 5000 rpm. Cost effective for towing when combined with closed loop control (oxy sensor control)
Injection can be set up with 100% power across the board. Lots more expensive but recommended by those that have it.

What you say bears out in practice.
When my car was in at the Rangie specialist he said it went very well when given the stick, but it certainly lacks low down torque when towing.
How much would the bits to upgrade to your style cost?
I don't have an 02 sensor, so one would have to be fitted I presume.
