Climate Control Sunlight Sensor - Auto Headlight Sensor
Two newbie type questions for the RRS/D3.
1. I assume the little dome next to the subwoofer on the dash is the sunlight sensor for the climate control. Yes/No? If it is, I have a dash cover which covers over the sensor and a friend said that the climate control will not be turning itself up and down with exposure to sunlight. Ie - turns itself down when there is no sunlight (heat) coming into the car and likewise turns itself up when there is heat from the sun (is in addition to temp sensors).
So is this correct and if so do I need to cut a small hole in the dash cover to let the sunlight in? The climate control does seem to work OK with the dah cover in place.
2. I also assume the sensor for the auto on for the headlamps is the sensor I can see in the headlights. I also assume there is some other triggering sensor somewhere. The reason I ask is that on occasion the lights have not come on until really dark yet on the weekend I was driving directly into the sun just before sunset and the lights stayed on even though the headlight sensor had a direct line to a very bright setting sun.
Can someone enlighten me on the magic of these things.
Oh - the wipers come on even when a big bug gets smashed on the windscreen - where is the sensor for detecting squashed bugs.
Cheers
