    EGR Cleaning

I have an 07 Defender that is starting to perform poorly when under load and suspect the EGR is playing up. Can the EGRs on pumas be taken off and cleaned or would a running a fuel additive through help?

I would try a fuel additive first. IIRC, Wynns sells EGR cleaners, although I've never seen them in RSA.

The problem is, the EGR on the Puma is a complicated setup and there are sensors in there. I would take it to your dealer to see if there are any fault codes regarding the EGR.

If it's out of warranty, then an option is to get the BAS EGR remap, which keeps the EGR shut permanently.

I think they do it on the B service. They charge like wounded bulls for some induction clean so I assume its this. Saying that mine is in today for some strange induction noise and it eats fuel like a V8 disco when loaded.
