Picked Up Another Cute Little Critter Tonight

Little Black Headed Python. Was up in the Pit and rescued before being run over by a Dozer.
Third one for the night already and it was only 2130. Did not have the camera, but had to pick up and remove a Pygmy Python (smae last night) and move on a large King Brown.

Not actually our job. Is the enviros job but they are never available. I like the pythons, but not the King Browns so much. The black headed python was absolutely gorgeous. Much better than seeing it get run over by a Dozer.
My daughter wants one as a pet.

they are nice looking snakes, can sometimes be a bit aggressive in captivity, i have had one before, stimpson pythons make great pets, I have two now plus the normal old south west carpet pythons. illegal to keep them without a license of course.

Its one of my jobs now here at the SMR

Quite enjoy it actually.. Nothing like watching those who dont understand or have a fear of them as you casually walk up and pack them away for relocation...

Recent was a very fast, very fiesty King Brown... Just picked him up, put him in the container, dropped it on the front seat of the LV and went for a drive to relocate him.

    Very nice Craig!!!!
Always awesome finding a herp in the wild...I found a carpet out at Lucky Bay(you remember where that is ??) the other weekend, though I think he had been given a whack by someone as he wasn't moving too well.

Not to sure about moving a venomous one out of the way though...my only experience so far has been a 200mm long tiger we found on the patio.

Am happy with my Stimson at the moment, though want a carpet or olive soon

Lucky Bay, you have just brought me to tears.
Gonna have to go and get my catch/release licence I think and maybe one for a python.
Lots of little pygmy pythons up here they are gorgeous, shame you are not allowed to keep them.
To many ignorant people, even most venomous snakes are generally dosile.
