94 disco v8 hard to start
i just bought a v8 94 disc i gave it a good rev through the gears the yesterday and now today when i started it it sounded like a hydraulic lifter noise it went away and then returned but after about 6 hours of driving it went away and now i have it home it starts fine then low revs around my property and it starts the noise again i am afraid i have maybe bent a pushrod or it maybe just needs a thicker oil aparently the last owner used 10.40 oil i was thinkn using magnatec its been great in all my other cars this car has done 235000 any ideas ?it also is hard to start once it has been stopped for a while winds over and then u have to put ur foot down to the floor then start it again any ideas?

I use Magnatec, brilliant stuff.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

At 235K it would almost certainlyhave a worn out cam and followers. The hard starting could even be a dying fuel pump, leaking injector/s or faulty fuel pressure regulator. Best bet is to attach a fuel pressure gauge and check the pressure at the rail. There should be a schrader valve on the drivers side of the fuel rail if late 1994 (Update) model. If not, then you will have to tee into the supply line at the back of the rail drivers side.
