Went for a run with the Lotus club

Friend of mine has a Lotus Elise and asked me if I wanted to go along on a club run this morning.

I could take quite a shine to those cars, what fun they are to drive !

Only problem, when I go back in the Range Rover I felt I was about 2 storeys off the ground. I kept checking the ride height to see if was in off road height.

They are nice little club cars and I would not say no to one.
I remember at Bathurst one year we were talking v8s and 4x4s and a guy came up trying to impress us with his talk of his Lotus Elise and no one was interested. I think he picked the wrong crowd.

I went to a corporate event where we got to play with a couple of Exiges on a skid pan at Mt Cotton for the afternoon. Most excellent fun indeed ( once I had wedged myself into the seat )

Yes I have always lusted after an Exige and thought the Elise was just a poor mans version, BUT I had a customer with one that I was expressing this thought with and the next day he turned up and gave me the keys for a spin... I take it all back, it was fab! Wahat a fun car, lightweight, nimble, great power to weight ratio.........

    Yup I want one

    Cheers,
