Spotted brand new Army mercs today

    Hi all,
While working at Appleton Dock in melbourne today I saw a whole load of brand new army mercedes G wagons and utes. I was going to take some photos and then noticed a sign that said no cameras. They were all decked out in auscam, black alloy wheels, BFG all terrains, roof racks and possibly lifted suspension. There was wagons and space cab utes, I would love to have taken one for a spin to see what they are like.
    Cheers Matt

Wot is this the Mercedes appreciation forum?

Wash your eyes out with soap and never mention the name again!

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    There are threads on:
    Army inters
    Alvis stalwarts
    Unimogs
various other non-lr built vehicles and trailers...

    So why not army Model-Gs???

Some of us have two fully functioning eyes that aren't fitted with blinkers

(btw - the sooner the army gets the full compliment of mercs the sooner they might sell off the 110s...)

Because this thread is in AuLRO General.

The Army Inter section is in REMLR a seperate organisation kindly hosted on AuLRO and when the Stolly was built, Alvis was in the Rover Group of companies and the thread in the Forward Control and other Military variants forum.

Happy to see Merc's (MB, GPW, GPA etc) Jeeps, Austin Champs and even Mercedes products in REMLR!

    So what!
    Mogs are Mercs.
    I have two Mercs.
I am surprised at how many Merc owners have Landrovers.
There is a post or two on this forum about a Merc with a Landrover motor in it.
