Gearbox From Stage 1 V8 LT95/ Free for Mechanical JOB

    Hi guys,

Wanting to swap the LT95, out of my stage 1 ute, and have purchased complete 4 Speed auto from Discovery V8, with all parts needed for conversion.

I am looking for someone who wants to do the job, happy to pay, or SWAP, the complete Box Transfercase, clutch Flywheel, etc... would be better, if anyone is looking for a good unit, from a vehicle with just over 100k genuine KM. Can test drive in car if wanted...

I am located near CANBERRA, 30 mins east,.

I will do the job, if I have to, but just thought I would put this out there, incase anyone needs a box, and I will be selling it anyway.

The problem is that these gearboxes are reluctant to throw in the towel & the Stage 1 is pretty much the same as early Range Rovers ( Which sell pretty cheap) except it's transfer ratio is the lowest at 1.336 :1

Have you removed the Carby restrictors? you are going to need the extra power with the Discovery gearing.

    yeah mate all good there.

Its actually a Hot Rod, and pretty light, now, tiny tray, and not much else,

Has a edelbrock manifold, and holley 390.

Has been tuned etc, pacemaker headers, new exhaust with Hooker/holley muffler.

Definately aint a POWERHOUSE, but I never use 1st gear, and really mainly highway driving, and flat towing the race car, when at the drag races after a run, which is another reason for the auto.

Gets along pretty good, just really, way too low geared for what im using it for.

    Thanks Chad

Here are the ratio's available for the LT95.

Somebody else can chip in but you will get the same final ratio ( I think) by simply buying some early 4 Door Rangie transfer gears.
