TC & HDC not working, D2

OK, my traction control and hill decent are not working, even the lights on the dash are not working, which seem odd, last time I heard the dreaded bong bong bong of the 3 amigoes, only the ABS light came on

Now here's the odd thing, you can hear the modulator working, but the light on the dash doesn't come on, also when you lift a wheel off the ground to see if the TC is working the wheel will keep spinning even though you can clearly hear the modulator.

Does anyone know what controls the TC and HDC

Now with all this, the ABS works perfectly AND no faults logged at all

    Any ideas

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

Just throwing a quick thought out there.....since HDC only works in low range and your ABS is working and the modulator is at least making the proper noises, no 3 amigoes and clear fault codes, maybe its a simple thing like a crook connection at the low range switch on the Transfer? No lights on the dash indicates to me that the circuit isnt complete either no fuse, poor switching, SLABS ECU plug or earth.
    cheers

Baz that happened to me a couple of times a few years ago - I got under the truck and removed the connector for the transfer case hi/lo plug and cleaned out both ends with contact cleaner and then slid it in and out a few times (...please people) and from that point on it was sweet.

Thanks guys, checked the hi/lo switch, it's not in good condition but, it seems on the manual the TC should still work with it disconnected, but will get one, as it needs replacing anyway.

Going to get another SLABS ECU and check the connections and earths when we change it, also a few times when away the speedo stopped working, going to look into what might of caused this, it may be related.

No worries mate. The programme is much more aggressive in low range though. Funny thing is that the HDC should chime and flash nonstop if its is applied in high range. Let us know how you go.

Mate - I will have a look again - you might have a blown bulb, or otherwise it might just work that way, but sounds very much like a dodgy high low switch or connector.

    Cheers mate
