If your fuses are OK (remember there are fuses under the driver's seat) then the hazard relay is likely to be the problem. I don't know where it is but I'm guessing that it's behind the dash.

No matter what the problem - there's a solution. You've just got to find it.

If fuse 21 in the box behind the gear shift is OK (remember there are fuses under the driver's seat - might pay to check fuse 6) then the hazard relay is likely to be the problem. I don't know where it is but I'm guessing that it's behind the instrument pack.

Of course I'm assuming your set up is the same as in my MY03 Defender.

Check the small earth wire off the batt, under seat box.

    Thumbs up

Hi ScottyGC, if all have gone at once, then i'd be along the lines of either of the previous replies from mellow yellow or sly. If it's not a simple fuse or earth wire, grab a test light and check your power and earths to the back of your gauges behind the dash. Process of elimination, if you have no power then start at the fuse/s which provide power to these circuits and check continuity between them, likewise the earths.
As for your relay being warm, swap your relay around with one of the others that is the same to eliminate this.

From, here you can start continuity testing, power off, with a multimeter or continuity light, not a test light. Not sure if there are any plugs that connect between all of these that may have come loose, but keep it simple.

    Good luck

P.S. think i bought that cargo barrier of you a while back

Hey scotty, just been looking at the schematic and fuse number 3 in your passenger compartment( guessing they mean the one in front of the gear stick) supplies power to all of the above circuits.

It should be a 10amp fuse as indicated on the schematic. Just check and see if you can turn your a/c blower fan on as well as this is linked as a switching wire in the circuit. If your blower fan is not working this also indicates that the power feed from fuse 3 is gooooone. Also , your headlamp leveling switch shares the same earth as your speedo, coolant and fuel guages but different power feed, so if this works your earths are fine for your speedo, coolant and fuel guages. This i hope will help tell you that it is the power feed from fuse number 3.

any questions send another reply and i'll check again.

Replace it even if it looks fine to be sure.

Did get the clutch sorted in the old girl, had new suspension put in and sent the barrier to the powder coaters for $40 and fitted the sucker. But i couldn't stop myself from making a set of drawers for the back, piling in the gear, a mate and taking her up the Cape.
