    Cargo barriers

Are most cargo barriers easily removed if needed? I will often have longer items to stow inside the vehicle and if there aren't cargo barriers available that can be easily removed then I probably won't bother with one, and I know the benefits of having one are substantial.

Alternatively, would a suitable net do the job when needed provided large items are secured in the back?

I have found they are easy to remove, but getting them back in is quite fiddly. Mine has four thumb screws on the brackets undo these and it is out, putting it back you need to line everything up and need three hands and fingers with seven joints each .

4 bolts which can be turned by hand and or Milford is out...we do it quite a lot and it is not hard to get back in at all.

Personally for that extra bit of safety you get with having a barrier its worth the fiddly 5 mins of putting it in and out

    Thanks guys,

Your help is appreciated. It does sound like they're a pretty good solution. I had thought they were a semi-permanent fixture.

I'm still tossing up between a proper barrier and one of the fabric versions like Dolium make. Time will tell which way I go.

Just remember a fabric one wont contribute to the strength of the vehicle structure
