landrover cab chassis

My Son wants to buy a 4wd ute for farm work. He has his eye on a land cruiser I am trying to convince him that a landrover would be a better option.
We are talking used and not too dear it is his first car and he has only been working for 3 months but already has a lot saved up. So what is the better one to look for and what are the problems to look out for ?

You will need to narrow the price range down a bit. He is probably right in thinking Landcruiser...

IMHO:

• 300Tdi - he can work on it as there is not a lot of electrickery and they are a great engine
• Dual cab - can take mates around as well
• Look for as many accesories as possible, as these are expensive otherwise
