Hi Jon, You have a Sals rear? If so, are you certain that the pinion isn't just loose??? They have a crushable spacer, and IF the locking nut comes loose they can float and become noisy. SOMETIMES, if you get to it early, replcing the crush spacer and locknut can stave off total replacement, they are pretty robust
Have you considered a Detroit? In a sals it is less than an hour to fit, drive in drive outSimple, reliable, and with Maxi axles etc quite strong enough IME I run 33"s but must admit don't hang off rock ledges etc with it
