Microcat on a Mac via Parallels

    Ok guys,
How do I get Microcat to install and run on the Mac (27" imac running Snow Leopard)? Im using Parallels and Windows 7 64 bit.

I have used Microcat extensively on the PC.

Parallels and Windows 7 work a treat but when I try to install the latest (01/11 Microcat) it throws an incompatibility error, it then changes to XP SP2 compatibility mode settings and nothing happens.

Any suggestions? Should I be using an older Microcat, or is the issue more to do with Windows7 64 bit and Microcat?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thx
    Jon
    Regards,
    Jon

    Its a Win7 issue...

Do you have the option to load XP into parallels (eg access to an XP OS)

I'm waiting for my copy of Win7 to arrive before I can try it.

Yeah I could probably dig one out of my old CDs.

Kinda expected that everything would be backward compatible though.

I suspect there must be some backdoor tweaking that can be done to make it run??

Im guessing the issue relates the 64bit OS, not the Windows7 / XP version.

I can get it to install (with one 64bit incompatibility error), but the actual application fails to start siting the same excuse! Not designed to run on 64bit. I have tried in the compatibility section of Windows 7 to run as Win XP SP2, SP3 and also Win95. Nothing seems to work.

    Are you running 64bit win7?

    Johannes

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.
