Seeking short-term loan with Isuzu County as security.

Hey All, I'm just putting my feelers out to see if anyone would be interested in lending between $1K & $2K on a short-term basis?
This seems strange... but I guess you don't know till you ask.
As security you could keep (I mean temperarily hold) my registed "daily driver," an
    · '85 County 110 (see attached pis below).
    · 3.6lt Turbo-Diesel Isuzu -Late 1996 4BE1 (engine done 200K kms)
    · LT95 4-spd.
    · Qld Commercial Rego till Aug-2011
    · Turbo complienced.
    · 9 seater.
    · Maxi-drive rear Diff-lock.
    · Bullbar, roofrack, side-steps etc.
I'v just started new contract but am short of cash due to quiet/slow recent self-employment. Solar gets installed tomorrow, body corp fees, rates, insurance etc, etc. I know, I know, poor me! Ha! Ha!
I really don't want to just start stripping my baby to just to make ends meet, that would be very sad!

    I'am looking for:
    • Loan amount - between $1K and $2K.
    • Loan term - between 6 and 10 wks (depending on amount).
    • Interest terms - around 20% per month with weekly or fortnightly repayments.
    These terms could be negotiated.

There has to be something in it for you!

If you have room in the yard, or know someone who does, you may hold the County as security, including Contract and signed Rego Transfer forms (These are just for your peace of mind....I am definately not wanting to lose her!). This leaves me without a work car but will have to manage with no other options.

Born and bred on the Gold Coast with stable history. Genuine proposal.
Jay 0438 143 484 (if phone unattended pls leave msg and I'll get straight back to you).
    Cheers.

    Thanks for you feedback Cammo!
    3 posts or 300 - i'm still a member man.
Sure I know I'm not gonna make any friends with a post like this.. but it's last resorts and worth a try.

If you're a true landy enthusiast (which your thousand or so posts sugest), then I reckon you could imagine how hard it would be to think about letting go of your pride and joy.
I just thought there'd be a member on here that would want to make some extra dollars, and get me out of a jam at the same time.

    I reckon it's pretty upfront.

If you are for real.. why not get a cash loan from cash converters or one of those places.

Ive seen too many of my mates including myself burnt from lending money.

Would hate to see it happen here thats all.

perhaps jay should look at our reccomended suppliers page or contact one of our finance members, but they may also see this thread and continue a discussion with jay by pm.

    Cheers Fellas,
this morning it was do or die. Now I'm quite sure this post was the most appropriate.
Fair call Camo, I'de hate to see that happen here too. And thanks Harry for the recomendation - would you beleive I'm still using dial-up? It make it hard to get around the full site and explore. Didn't even know there was a finance section. I'll surely take a look.
Maybe I should ask to borrow a bit more to get a broadband connection! Ha! (joking).

oh and Pete, good eyes, I cant even find the best spot for my air-cleaner, let alone such luxuries as heaters and air-con. I do however have a stand alone air-con unit I'm hopping will fit just under the dash, passenger side. another project for later, with all the other ones.
