    April 2011 Booloumba Creek

Well Folks - what a fun weekend it was at Booloumba Creek . I didn't take 1 single photo but thought someone should kick the thread off so some get posted!

Great to sit around a campfire Saturday night and meet some new members; did some walking on Sunday and checked out the Cascades and the Falls, very impressive part of the world.

After some debate about the quickest way home over the range, the Scallop stuffed up again and went with 2 other nutter Defy drivers and although we had to turn back, we had some fun in the mud - followed by a river, followed by.....but hey - we found a cool track to check out when it isn't hammering down with rain!

Thanks to Sam and Pete for organising such a great spot and to everyone for being such happy company - just love this club.

    Thanks Dan.

Sam and I had a nice weekend too. It is a really nice spot.

Interestingly this trip for us and Guy was basically the exact opposite of the Fraser trip, when guys rangine had a fuel pump issue at Caboolture BP (Our meet point) at 7am on Saturday morning.

So after some careful repacking, we left his car with RACQ, and he jumped in with us for the weekend.

We didn't get many pictures either but I have put a few below:

Was good to get out on the Mountain bikes too for a bit. Good idea John!

    Thanks again to everyone.

The trip name could have been changed to:

    Booloumba Creek Defender owners campout

Apart from Sams disco all the other vehicles there were defenders, 4 Pumas on a trip. But all who attended own Defenders either going or not

Ah yes my car arrived home in worse condition that when it left and also worse than when I left it to get towed home At this stage we think its electrical relating to the fuel pump, well thats the first thing to fix.

Thanks to Pete and Sam for having the Disco and the space to fit me in, and Dave for the camping permit, although I left it in the car, luckily the ranger didn't come back around on the Sunday morning. It was a nice relaxing weekend although that creek, I think refreshing is the best word for it. The Goannas were kind of aggressive, no fear of humans at all.
