    speedometer not working

G'day again, more problems with my lemon .. this time the speedo isnt working, nor is the odometer. the didgital display in the odometer is showing but not ticking over, which makes me think maybe sensor or plug?

but i have no idea which plug it is, can someone steer me in the right direction to find the speedo drive sensor please? a picture would be fantastic.

or any other suggestions as to why the speedo should just 'stop" working all of a sudden.

    cheers and thanks in advance

forgot to mention its the 1.8 litre, series 1 Xei, 5spd manual model 1998

In the Xe versions (ABS, HDC, TC) of the FL1 the speedo is all electronic and uses the ABS pulses from one of the front wheels (I think the drivers side).

I assume the signal to the speedo itself comes from the ABS computer but I am not sure - but if you have ABS etc the source pulse for the speedo is also there. I would be looking for something like a fuse, or connection up under dash. Of course the speedo itself could have a problem.
