Disco 3 Starting Issue
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue;
My disco 3 (V8 petrol) wouldn't start so I checked the battery, it was flat so I recharged it and still wouldn't start.
I got a new battery and it still doesn't start, all of the dash lights come on it does its system check ok then when I turn the key I get a small click in the fuse box (glove box I think) and starter but the park brake light cuts out on the switch and the battery light blinks on the dash.
Does anyone have a check list for electrical start up faults please
(all fuses look ok in the engine bay)

No idea? Sorry. Have you tried a hard reset incase the low voltage has confused the carputer. I (and I'm sure everyone) get similar symptoms when not waiting long enough to go from "on" to "start"(for the system check to complete).

Solved the issue
Thanks for the responses, I took my car for a service and asked them to look into it.
They couldn't find anything however I just happened to have a spare key that needed reprogramming and this fixed the issue.
The tech did say that he did see a code flash on the computer when he was starting the vehicle something to do with the engine immobiliser/security.
Hasn't missed a beat starting since

I had the non start issue again. Coming home from Sydney I stopped to refuel and left the key in the ignition. On starting - no progress -warning lights go dim. After several versions of trying to start I finally got out and locked and unlocked with the remote and its all joy. Has Bill Gates bought LR on the quiet???
