    Winch bumpers

    Hi All,

Being new to all this winch business, I thought i might draw on the collective knowledge of the gurus.

Just bought a 90 in the UK, and am getting a winch fitted for its overland adventure across Aus. I have opted for a Goodwinch TDS 9.5i.

Question 1; Winch bumper. Low mount vs 'high mount or bikini mount'? Other than approach angle and cost. What are the drawbacks? Is strength a issue? Airflow? Strength?

Obviously the owner has his own view point, so I thought I might as around.

    Many thanks in advance.

High mount is the superior winch in all situations, stronger, faster, but bigger and more expensive, I don't think airflow would be an issue.

If you have the money and the space to mount it, go the High mount and bumper to suit.

A inch is either a high mount or low mount.
If you have a low mount winch you get a low mount winch bumper and vice versa.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
