go 2" + 2" if you want to register it, not 100% sure but I dont think you can get 4" spring lift registered any more, also a 4" lift is bloody expensive because of all the bit that need to be replaced

On a D1 a 2+2 helps in getting metal away from tyres...

A lift doesnt, it just changes the static ride height (under flex it still goes where a std one goes)

I've got 3+2 gives me plenty of room to play but as stated the extras are costing me more than the lift kit did. Weigh it up what do you want big lift for and how much are you willing to pay for it and the engineers that's going to be required to make it legal

I'm running 35x12.5x16's on mine with a guard cut and flexi flares..2" body lift 3" suspension lift -4.25 offset wheels i still scrub sometimes on full flex and had to adjust my steering lock or it scrubbed on the radius arms.. Looks awesome though
just be ready to buy new gearing as the large jump in tyres hurts your performace 10 fold.. hills become mountains and low range just aint what it used to be.. I'm saving like mad for lockers and gears right now. hopefully by christmas i should be able to afford them

i'm running 35x13.5x16's on my d1 with a 2" body 3" flexy's and cut guards it just rub's nothing major but i will be fitting long bump stops, also had to back off the steering lock. What you also have to consider is extended brake lines, stronger axles and cv's are a must as well diff ratio's i haven't changed mine yet and 5th gear is point less unless u are going down hill at a 100 km's (1400rpm).
i also have front and rear lockers but ever since i put the maxxis mudzilla's on i haven't needed them

Hey Tuf how is your castor??? I
Know mine was out by 6degrees so I got new radius arms and trailing arms for it. Makes a huge difference. Well have to hit the tracks one day mate when they're nice and sloppy
