    Roof Console for UTE

Here are some pics of my completed console which houses the UFH radio and provides some extra storage space as well. It is fitted in a 96 Defender ute.

I made it from 6mm MDF (screwed and glued then covered in carpet) and secured to the mirror screws at the front and the hole in the roof lining where the interior light used to be,.
I chose this spot because, in a ute, the roof lining is surprisingly strong and can hold a fair bit of weight at this point.
I refitted the factory interior light and away she goes!
