    7.50 x 16?

Can I stick 7.50 x 16 on my Defender Extreme? Reason I ask is I will shortly be selling it; it needs new tyres; I have retreads on my S2A; I would rather put the retreads on the Defender and put new tyres on the S2A.

Of course , mine came out with them on
I still only run them cheap as chips as everyone wants monster truck rubber ... and for my treks they are perfect

Gee, it will really mess with the handling of your defender on the road plus if you fit 7.50r16 tyres on the extreme rims which are 7 inches wide it will expose the sidewalls to easy damage.
It will make it easy to roll the tyres off the rims if you lower the pressures off road.
The retreads will not affect the way a S2a handles...
    I wouldn't do it.
You can buy cheap new tyres not much more than retreads surely?

Sell it with decent tyres - the price will reflect and it'll help demonstrate what a good owner you are.

No need to buy expensive tyres at the Cairns dealer man. Just hop on Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels and find some that fit. You could probably even get the 2a a set at their prices!

My Defender is now riding comfortably on nice new BFG MT KM2s, and the 2a has swapped its horrible old bar treads for a set of Federal MTs. Both cars handle and ride much better now!

Most tyre manufacturers state that 7" is the maximum width for 7.50x16s.

I run them on my Classic RR alloys. On road at 32-38psi, off road at 18psi. I'm yet to lose a bead or damage a sidewall.

Mine are radials though, I don't think I'd like to try crossplies if that's what your retreads are.

Thanks - that is what I was wondering with the Extreme rims.

Yeah, NOTHING affects the way an S2A handles

Why not price up a new set of cheap tyres and advertise the deefer with a price with new tyres or discounted by that amount for with the tyres that are on it. That way the buyer can take the option of sourcing his own tyres or take the "drive away" option. As a buyer, I'd prefer to be able to put on my own choice of a decent tyre rather than have to stuff around trying to find a buyer for crap tyres that the PO put on to sell it.
