VN-VR Commodore V6 intake elbow and throttle body, Impco 225 mixer. Not worth the trouble, too bulky to fit, there are better systems.

vapour and omvl mixer it has hiccups now and then runs like a pig if you dont get it up to full temp good power only 280 kms on 80 liters of gas d1 5 speed manual dont drive it like a race car loved my old rrc 3.5 550 kms on pet and 350 on 80 litters of gas and run lovely

OMVL converter, I hope you mean. The mixer lives on the air intake, mixes gas and air, you see. The OMVL converter should deliver enough gas for a 4.6 at full noise. Your mixer may be too small through the bore for optimum power, although low end performance should be good.

Your problem sounds far more like a bad state of tune. You are probably suffering from Lucas ignition amplifier woes, bad spark plugs and leads, incorrect advance settings, lean mixture adjustment, and so on. Who does your tune ups? A 3.9 should go well on this type of system unless its totally stuffed.

That Impco thing you pictured won't make it go faster, the bore size through it is smaller than a normal ring style mixer. And they close down at low RPM. Sounds like your system needs a darn good sorting.

NGK is fine, but what heat range and gap on the plugs? Timing setting? Have you adjusted the main mixture screw for the LPG?

Basically what you are describing is what happens when the Lucas ignition amp goes wrong. I've met this plenty of times.

LPG needs a stronger spark to run properly than petrol does.

Try this conversion:
