    My ideal burial, whats yours??

Well, giving this some thought as it occurred to me that all this work I am putting into my 110 it will most likely outlast me, and me being not much of a sharing person, wouldn't want anyone ELSE to have it after I'm gone, SO....I want to be placed inside it, an excavator dug long 'pit' with a decline, and ceremoniously rolled down to the bottom, and backfilled!.

    Sort of a 'Viking' funeral.

Brian (Bearman) and I just had a larf about this very topic so anyone else got any weirdo ideas aswell?

JC (Sorry smilies don't work for me at the moment, not sure why?)

Only bad thing about that idea is that in 300 years, some robber will dig it up and the take it. I'd rather give my Landy to a Landy enthusiast than a robber

    You're right JC.
Definitely a Viking funeral for me!!
Find an old bush track up in the Gulf country somewhere, put my remains (including the rum bottle and pickled liver) into the drivers seat. Start her up, set fire to her and send me off down the road. Way to go

Ha Ha, yes and I have a spare hand throttle assembly here that I won't need if they just roll me down into the pit, so you are welcome to it! 1st high range at 2000rpm there'll be no stopping you, until you reach the mangroves and then the fire will go out as it sinks below on the next high tide!!

    JC (STILL no smilies???)

Thought the idea of a Viking funeral was to leave nothing but ashes.

Reckon you're gonna have to better than bury it to kill your County.

I told Nay (the "Mrs") I want to be buried at YUNTA,

    its slate country !

when I was there they dug a grave for a bloke, 2 days- two guys
with small controlled blasts as well!! I figured that no matter what
happens at least two people would remember me until the day they died!!

    (not fondly, but theyd remember!)

I think Nay has indicated that within a few years dead people will be classed as recycling and go in the green waste -- so I expect a 'roadside service' !!
    (a council service )

Funny - we only had this conversation at home the other day...

I have always wanted to buried standing up. Use a hole borer, go down about 12 - 13 feet or so, and drop me in....

Now, as long as the hole is the right diameter, and not too big, all should be good...

And the muddies could have what's left after the fire goes out Could be my way of giving something back after many years of visits to the Gulf country
