Defender Radiator

I have to replace the radiator and radiator top hose on my 1999 td5 defender, does anyone know what the part numbers are for these?

There is a guy on ebay selling these parts Classic-Land-Rover-Range-Rover has anyone used this seller before? If so can I trust that the parts are genuine and of good quality?

Also how hard a job is it to replace the radiator? can it be done with a basic mechanical knowledge and time?
or is it something I should be getting the Mechanic to do

As for the job... not hard... just a bit long winded, lots of hoses to disconnect (including intercooler) but shouldnt take more than a few hours..

Start by removing the front crossmember (where the bonnet latch is) and work your way down..

Make sure you fill with correct coolant (red OAT stuff) and bleed it well.. and keep checking the levels.. if it was filled with green stuff before flush very very well..

I generally use a 1l jug to fill it up so i can keep a count of how many litres i am adding..

Called and parts are on the way, With reguard to coolant should I be trying to collect the existing coolant and put that back in when I am finished or should I get new coolant. If new coolant is the go what type is recommended?

Dont re-use it...

Firstly what colour is it? if its red, then thats good. Give it a flush and refill with a Red OAT coolant. Us in WA use CAT coolant premix as one of Aulro's members gets it at a good price..

If you do a search on OAT coolant on here you should turn up lots of info.... and brands, i think castrol do one too...

If mixing your own, i generally use distilled water, but there are probably opinions on that also!

As i said before, take your time filling and bleeding it.. you dont want to get it wrong!
