Thumbs up Trip report - Qld Land Rover Clubs Jamboree

Trip report - Qld Land Rover Clubs Jamboree - Repost so other clubs can view.

Big thank you to all those who attended the event; and participated in the activities with a spirit of goodwill! I am sure that everybody had fun and enjoyed themselves.
Thanks to Janowen Hills 4WD Park for hosting the event for us,
Thanks also to the sponsors who have generously provided prizes for the Jamboree.

I am sure that you are all chafing at the bit to know who won what, but I am afraid that you will have to wait a bit longer, I will tally the results and Post up shortly.

    In the mean time:-
If you did not attend the Jamboree, sucked in - you missed a ripper, we had a Top Gear Theme going across the Weekend, so here are a few awards that I would like to give out now.

The best Jeremy Clarkson award for saying the Word “Power” the most across the Weekend, goes to Harry Mason for his effort around the Dam in Challenge number 6
I don’t think he really thinks Mrs Cheeky drives like that???

The best Richard Hammond award goes to Jnr Grover in the Freelander 1.5???
Some good driving in the “Little Truck”

The Best Caption Slow award goes to Walrover for his efforts in Challenge number 3
As far was we can tell he was second in the challenge because he was the only other entrant apart from the 109 that did not cheat.
“Some Say” that The109 is cheating itself…. All we know is that it’s awesome.

Other busted cheating (bonus points awarded)

    Some got very “creative”

For others it did not go so well.

The Day started with a Show and Shine Challenge

Followed by a Travel Ramp Challenge.

Even Josh had a go, but his tent fell out.

We then moved to the Gymkhana Area for a Series of Challenges
As you have already see there may have been some Top Gear style of cheating going on.
The Reverse Slalom sorted some out

    Some more than others

Though he did do his own gardening

There were other challenges but we were having so much fun, that we forgot to take pictures….. I am sue other will post up more soon.

After the Challenges were over we went for Lunch and an afternoon drive in the park

Next Morning woke up a little chilly

But we were soon into it again with a nice morning drive

Again thank you for having a go, and watch this space for the results, for now I have to go and clean up.

    Cheers
