    G$ style expedition roof racks

    Does anyone know if G4 Expedition style roof racks are available in Australia or anyone that makes similar?
    I want to put a roof rack on and was going to just get a 2.0m version and then mount a solar panel on the angled front part of the roof using some sort of legs and bar, but looking at the G4 rack it may be way easier to go this way with the step down front bit of the rack at the front.
    Cheers

    Here are the Aussie dealers for safety devices gear. Australia 4x4

    Rack is listed at 625 pounds or AUD930. Add some for shipping and it will give you an idea if they're ripping you.

    Thanks for that, will have a look. The reality is whatever I buy I am going to get ripped. From looking around I will be at least looking at $1400 AUD for any full length rack. Preferablly I want one that follows the roof line like the G4 and would mount the solar panel at the front and seregate the rest for general use. Failing that I will go back to my original pland and get a 3/4 and make some sort of rack for the solar panel.

    craig why not get one from overseas..?

    I had some pricing on one recently and based on rough dimension figures, postage was costly.. but liveable based on using a freight forwarder called transglobal. For a 2.8x1.4 ally rack the freight was around the $350 mark.. but it worked out still cheaper landed than buying here..

    Just another option...

    Hey the quality isn't the best on these photos but I have the Land Rover expedition available from the LR dealer but I know you can get aftermarket low profile expedition racks as well. I used some stainless steel u-bolts and some ply for the flooring but also I have removal section for the front as I have a sun hatch on mine. I'm pretty happy with the rack I must say and its got built in spotlight mounts on it;
